Broadbeach Tavern

Projects

Broadbeach Tavern

Cayas Architects were engaged to reinvent the existing Broadbeach Tavern to appeal to the modern pub patron, whilst expanding its footprint in the Oasis Shopping Centre and taking advantage of its new ocean views made possible due to the demolition of a surf club between it and the beach.

To achieve this the entire venue was gutted through a staged process which saw part of the pub remaining open at all times ensuring continued revenue flow.

Now known simply as ‘The Broadbeach’, the completed pub has raised the bar for what patrons can expect from a modern tavern experience, including high quality but down to earth dining, top of class gaming spaces, multi faceted sports viewing spaces and most importantly, a next level bar experience. Through the use of open and less clearly defined spatial planning coupled with high quality but relatable finishes and detailing the venue design responds to its beach side environment.

The combination of white brick, light timbers, greenery and brass are the cornerstone of the Interior Design palette, which through clever detailing combine to create a modern take on the beach aesthetic that is bound to transcend trend.

Indications show that the venue is trading well above client expectation, with old and new patrons responding very positively to this venue’s latest reincarnation.
